An international company that provides multilingual services and technology solutions has opened a Sioux Falls office.

TransPerfect's office will serve as a global hub for its SEO, or search engine optimization, practice, the company said in a news release. It will be managed by Colt Foutz, director of digital content optimization.

The office is in Shriver Square at 230 S. Phillips Ave., Suite 203. Foutz, who has worked for TransPerfect out of an office in his home for more than a year, will be joined by a digital analyst by the end of the month. After that, the company hopes to add a sales staff here.

TransPerfect is a privately held company that is headquartered in New York and has 3,500 employees in 90 cities worldwide. According to the company, its annual revenue in 2014 was $470 million.

Foutz said that while his work has been with global clients, TransPerfect believes the Sioux Falls market has several businesses that would benefit from its services.

The company's services include translation, website and software localization, multicultural marketing, e-learning and training support, remote and in-person interpretation, and legal support services.

"The crew here will be small and mighty ... but we are able to tap into the larger resources of our company," Foutz said.

In addition to Sioux Falls, the company also announced this week that it has expanded to Pittsburgh.
